A-Core is pleased to announce its participation in the Annual Big Dig Utah with the American Cancer Society Utah. The event is on Saturday, September 28th, at Mountainland Technical College: Lehi Campus, 2301 West Ashton Blvd in Lehi, UT.
The Big Dig Utah is a family-friendly large equipment festival benefiting the American Cancer Society and pediatric cancer research. It allows adults and children, including cancer patients and survivors, to operate large construction equipment such as excavators, scissor lifts, and more! The event is open to the public from noon to 3 PM.
“We are excited to be a part of Big Dig Utah for the seventh year in a row!” said Jake Rodgers, CEO of A-Core Concrete Specialists. “Cancer has touched so many of us, and we value every opportunity to give back and support those affected by this disease.”
Funds raised during the event will directly support pediatric cancer research. The American Cancer Society is currently funding over $800,000 in pediatric multi-year research grants at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital, along with more than $37 million in grants across the United States. A-Core is committed to making a meaningful impact and will actively participate in the event through sponsorship, volunteering, and contributing to its overall success.
The A-Core family has been impacted by cancer since our founder, Ruth Johnson, passed away from cancer in 2014. Her courageous battle against the disease inspired us to make a commitment to supporting others facing similar challenges. We recognize the emotional and physical toll cancer wreaks on individuals and families, and we are dedicated to giving back to our community.
“A-Core is committed to supporting those affected by cancer,” said Jordan Rodgers, VP of Business Operations. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see cancer patients and survivors operate large construction equipment and witness the smiles on their faces.”
